Speaker’s Corner

Speakers Corner

The north-eastern corner of Hyde Park is were you’ll find Speaker’s Corner, a peculiar place which fills up every Sunday morning with orators holding speeches on anything from religion to politics. It truly is a spectacle with people going along to listen, applaud or just boo. Speaker’s Corner became famous during the Second World War as it was the only place where you could defend Hitler or criticise Churchill without the fear of reprisal.
