Waterloo Station

Waterloo Station

Waterloo Station is located right in the centre of London next to Big Ben and the London Eye and very close to the Tate Modern. Originally opened in 1848, the current building was built in 1922 and was given the name Waterloo to commemorate the victory against Napoleon. The famous Waterloo Station Victory Arch is dedicated to the English railwaymen who fought in the First and Second World Wars. The station, which is also the largest railway station in the UK, is the terminus for Eurostar trains to Europe.
